What Is Apo Box And How To Get An Apo Box

APO Box is a privatized company that specializes in delivering items from DHL, FedEx, and UPS to military APO, FPO, and DPO addresses across the world via the United States Postal Service. Shipping and delivery and freight consolidation are provided by APOBox.

Sending to military APO and FPO addresses is only possible through the USPS.

To address this, you will be given an APO or FPO address, which is a genuine US address to which items can be sent. Your mail will then be sent to your APO FPO by the US Postal Service.

APOBox also provides order fulfillment services, such as picking and packing.

Register for a free APO Box account and you’ll get a unique address in the United States that you may use with any online retailer or with your family.

Any online business can accept your new US APO Box postal address, and it will be sent to your APO/FPO/DPO address via the US Post Office (USPS).

They have a very quick turnaround, and most shipments are likely to be delivered the same day they are dropped off.

Once your box is sent off for delivery, it will be scanned, and you will receive an email confirmation with inbound and outgoing tracking numbers so you can keep track of it.

They offer a straightforward two-tier price structure: $9.95 (1 pound or less) and $11.95 (1 pound or more) (more than 1 pound). All you have to pay is the postage amount charged by the US Postal Service, plus our handling fee and any package insurance expenses.

What Is The Procedure For Obtaining Apo Box?

apo box description

When picking a P.O. box, there are two important elements to consider: the size of the box and the placement of the box.

You’ll need to consider the purpose of your P.O. box when it comes to size. As a result, while determining how much space you require, consider the volume of mail you get.

You may pick from five different sizes at the United States Postal Service. Here’s how it’s broken out for you:

  • Extra Small – 3″ x 5.5″ – Typically holds 10-15 letters or two rolled magazines.
  • Small – 5″ x 5.5″ – Holds up to five rolled magazines or 15-20 letters.
  • Medium – 11″ x 5.5″ – Large enough to hold bigger envelopes or stack many magazines flat.
  • Large – 11″ x 11″ – Approximately two small boxes may fit within, with room for letters.
  • Extra Large – 22.5″ x 12″ – The largest choice, enough to accommodate most flat rate boxes or medium-sized items.

When it comes to location, you should go with whatever is most suitable for you.

Let’s get started now that you’re aware of the two primary factors:

step 1: Find an available PO Box near you on the USPS website. To find a PO Box in your region, enter your zip code and click “Find & Reserve a PO Box.

step 2: Once you’ve found a location, choose a PO Box size, a rental period (three, six, or twelve months), and a payment option.

step 3: To finish your PO Box reservation, enter your billing and contact information.

step 4: Your reservation confirmation should be printed. Your online rental and payment information are included in that confirmation. Take that printed confirmation to your post office, along with two pieces of ID, within 30 days after reserving your box, to get keys.

APO-FPO Addresses: What You Should Know

  • The only state codes that can be used for APO/FPO addresses are AE, AP, and AA.
  •  You will not be able to receive your package if it cannot be delivered by the USPS.
  • The best option to send is via Priority Mail. If you send a package to your APO/FPO address by surface mail, it will take a long time to arrive. This is due to the fact that Priority Mail is delivered by air whereas surface mail is not. Using surface class implies your shipment is physically on the sluggish boat.
  • If you’re relocating overseas and have a military (APO/FPO) address, you’ll need to complete the same Change of Address (COA) form as if you’re moving domestically (PS Form 3575). This procedure for changing your address must be conducted at your local post office (i.e. the U.S. office). The COA cannot be submitted online if you are relocating to or from an international or military residence.
